How a silly girl gets by without a job in a power-hungry city.

4:05 pm. New Hampshire Ave in car, wondering if I'm gonna get stuck in some snarly rush-hour traffic on the way back from Arlington. Man, I hate driving. (P.S. Forgot I can't haul 3 boxes home on the metro.)
A girl having a mid-midlife crisis before 30. Searching for "meaning" without a job-therefore-LIFE in DC. Chills with her hip cat most days. Writes at one of the number of serious coffee shops popping up around the city. Addicted to wine and movies and... you guessed it, coffee. Thinks Obama rules, Bush drools. Never traveled in a previous life and now, must. Has a weird fascination with the connection between human behavior and neurology and sex (gender). Wants to become a vegan in 6 years. Obsessively recycles. Loves pistachio ice cream and Dark Chocolate gelato from Dolcezza (there's only one). Could read the whole Sunday paper if she could wake up before noon. Has way too many opinions about movies and relationships.
